Frequently Asked Questions

How Does Golf Fit Help Me Play Better Golf?

Golf Fit is a series of golf fitness workouts designed to help you play your best golf.   By providing tailored workouts and exercises focused on improving strength, flexibility, balance, and mobility, Golf Fit helps golfers of all levels achieve greater power, accuracy, and endurance in their game.

Who should use Golf Fit?

Golf Fit is for golfers of all skill levels, from beginner to seasoned professionals. We provide workouts and training programs that can be adapted to suit your fitness level and goals, making it accessible and beneficial for golfers at any stage of their golf and fitness careers.

We have workouts at 3 different fitness levels, 1, 2, and 3.  You are encouraged to find your right level.  It could also be different based on the type of workout.  For example, you could be at a Level 3 for Full Body workouts and Level 1 for Shoulder Mobility.

Where are Golf Fit workouts designed to be done?

Golf Fit workouts can be done in your home, at the gym, or on the go. You can watch the workouts on your phone or on a device that accepts mobile screen mirroring, like an Apple TV.

Golf Fit workouts are designed to use minimal equipment. Please review our recommended equipment page for more information.

How often should I use Golf Fit to see results?

Ideally you do some type of Golf Fit workout 3 to 5 times a week.  This could be a combination of longer Full Body and Rotational Power and shorter Mobility Workouts.  The key is to move your body as often as possible.

Is Golf Fit suitable for individuals with pre-existing injuries or physical limitations?

While Golf Fit is designed to promote safe and effective fitness for golfers, please consult with a healthcare professional before starting Golf Fit, especially if you have pre-existing injuries or health concerns.

Our workouts include modifications and alternative exercises to accommodate different fitness levels and abilities, but your safety and well-being are our top priorities.

What do the various Levels mean?

Level 1: Workouts are for golfers who are new to fitness or returning to fitness.  They are designed to be a starting point, although some might choose to stay here because it gives them what they want.  These workouts require minimum equipment to start.  Some require no equipment at all.

Level 2: Introduces more equipment and load, showing you how to improve your body and game in many ways, like focusing on asymmetry, rotation, speed, power, and strength. Level 2 workouts are for those looking to take their fitness to the next level.

Level 3: This is our top performance level, which focuses on strength and conditioning to make you more mobile, stronger, and faster

What are the Regressions and Progressions that the trainers refer to within certain exercises?

Many of our individual exercises have variations to make them either more or less challenging.  We encourage you to listen to your body and adapt accordingly.

What is the best exercise to do?

The one that you will keep doing. The number one reason that people fail in their attempt to start a fitness habit is not accepting where they should start and expecting unrealistic results.

Once you start doing our workouts, at any level, you will start to feel and play better.

What are the different workout categories, and how will they help me play better golf?

We have created a holistic fitness program for golfers designed to train them in all aspects of golf fitness.

  • FULL BODY

  • ROTATIONAL POWER

  • MOBILITY

  • Shoulder

  • Hip

  • Back

  • CORE

  • PRE ROUND

How do I figure out what “weight” I should use with either the dumbbells or resistance bands?

Start with a lighter weight and work your way upwards in weight.  You will start to get a feel overtime as to what your proper weight is.  Your “medium” weight dumbbell or resistance is going to be different than others.  Trust yourself to know what is right for you.

What equipment is needed for the workouts? Where can I buy the equipment?

For Level 1, some workouts require no equipment and others require only anchored resistance bands.

Many of the Level 2 and Level 3 workouts require dumbbells, and in some cases medicine balls. Both are critical for building strength and rotational speed.

Please review our recommended equipment page for more information.

How often do you publish new workouts?

Golf Fit will create new fitness content on a monthly basis.

What workouts do you recommend I should do?

Each week, Golf Fit will send you a list of workouts we recommend, similar to how a personal trainer would guide you.

You can also choose to do any work out from the Golf Fit library of workouts.

On the videos, what does the green circle mean compared to the blue circle?

When the timer is surrounded by the Blue Color, it means that you should be resting.  During this time, the trainer will explain the exercise.

The green circle means that it is time to be doing the exercise.
